Visit your preferred center’s location page for current tuition rates and fees.
5

We like to keep things simple for our families! Tuition includes:
-
Full-time care during regular operating hours
-
Breakfast
-
Lunch
-
Afternoon snack
-
Classroom curriculum and daily activities
Families are responsible for providing any age-specific personal items their child may need.
7

Yes! Our Temple, Copperas Cove, and Pflugerville locations currently accept CCS childcare assistance.
Because CCS placement and availability can vary, we recommend contacting your preferred location directly for current information.
8

Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided and included with tuition.
Breakfast: 7:30–9:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM
Afternoon Snack: 3:00 PM
Menus and meal schedules may vary slightly by location or classroom.
9
What supplies will my child need?
Supplies vary depending on your child’s age and classroom. Families may be asked to provide items such as diapers, wipes, bottles, formula or breast milk, a change of clothes, a water bottle, and nap-time items.
Your center will provide a more specific list based on your child’s classroom before their first day.
10
What time is nap time?
Our typical rest period is 12:00–2:30 PM.
Children who do not fall asleep will still be provided an opportunity to rest. After an appropriate quiet-rest period, non-sleeping children may be offered a quiet activity while their classmates continue sleeping.
11
How much outdoor time will my child have?
Weather permitting, children participate in approximately 60–90 minutes of outdoor play each day.
Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine and gives children opportunities for gross-motor development, exploration, social interaction, and, of course, plenty of fun!
Specific weather guidelines and outdoor-play policies are outlined in our Parent Handbook.
12
Can I visit my child during the day?
Absolutely! We maintain an open-door policy for enrolled families and encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their child’s experience with us.
Families are welcome to visit, participate in classroom celebrations or special activities, or simply check in with their child during the day in accordance with center safety and visitor procedures.
13
How will I receive updates about my child?
We use Brightwheel for family communication and daily updates.
Depending on your child’s age and classroom, you may receive updates about meals, bottles, diaper changes, naps, activities, photos, videos, and other parts of their day.
Brightwheel also provides a convenient way for families and our team to communicate throughout the day. Because our teachers' first priority is supervising and engaging with the children, updates may occasionally be entered at a later time when the classroom allows.
14
What is your vacation policy?
After six consecutive months of enrollment, families are eligible for one vacation credit per calendar year.
Families may choose either:
-
One full Monday–Friday week at no tuition charge, during which the child may not attend care; or
-
Two separate weeks at half tuition.
Additional requirements and details are outlined in the Parent Handbook.
BWCLA observes several holidays throughout the year, including:
New Year’s Day • Martin Luther King Jr. Day • Presidents Day • Good Friday • Memorial Day • Juneteenth • Independence Day • Labor Day • Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day • Veterans Day • Thanksgiving Day • Friday after Thanksgiving • Christmas Eve • Christmas Day • New Year’s Eve
When an observed holiday falls on a weekend, the center may observe the closure on the Friday before or Monday after.
All centers close one hour early on Halloween.
Families receive an annual center calendar with scheduled closures and important dates.
15
What holidays are you closed?
16
What happens during severe weather?
The safety of our children, families, and staff always comes first.
For weather-related closures or delayed openings, each BWCLA location generally follows the public school district serving its area. However, BWCLA ownership may make an independent decision to close or delay opening if travel conditions are considered unsafe, even if the local school district remains open.
Any changes to normal operating hours will be communicated to enrolled families through Brightwheel as soon as possible.
17
How do I schedule a tour?
We would love to show you around! Visit your preferred center’s location page and click the “Book Your Tour Here!” button to choose a tour time that works for you.
18
What is the enrollment process?
Our enrollment process is simple! After touring the center, we’ll determine current availability for your child’s age group. If a space is available, you’ll complete and return all required enrollment paperwork, and then it’s time to get your child’s first day scheduled!
19
Is there a drop-off cutoff?
Yes. Our daily drop-off cutoff is 9:00 AM.
If your child has a scheduled doctor’s appointment, they may arrive as late as 10:30 AM, as long as the center was notified of the appointment at least 24 hours in advance. A doctor’s note will also be required at drop-off.
Yes! We love creating opportunities for our families to be part of the fun at BWCLA. Our centers host parent and family events throughout the year, including celebrations surrounding major holidays.
Event dates and details vary by location, and each center will share information with families as upcoming events approach.

What makes Because We Care Learning Academy different?
It’s right in our name—because we care.
At BWCLA, we believe childcare should feel like an extension of your family, not simply a place your child goes while you’re at work. We focus on building genuine relationships with our children and families while creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, explore, and grow.
From everyday communication and meaningful learning experiences to family events and the little moments in between, our goal is for every child to feel known, loved, and excited to come through our doors—and for every parent to feel confident about where their child spends their day.
